Client Folder Organization

Many different people access client folders — Tierra team, clients, and vendors. Following strict guidelines on what's shared with whom (and what level of permissions everyone has) prevents leaks and edits we don't want.

Why this matters

  • Give clients and vendors visibility to relevant files
  • Prevent clients or vendors from editing, moving, or deleting files
  • Prevent vendors from being visible to or interacting with clients
  • Prevent clients from seeing version history of key documents

Conventions

For every file and folder below, replace [CLIENT] with the client's full name (matching their folder name).

Icons used:

  • 📁 = Folder
  • 📄 = Document
  • 📊 = Spreadsheet
  • 🖼️ = Image or Video
  • 📽️ = Deck
  • ❓ = Form

Permissions model

Folders and files use three permission levels:

Level Who can access
Internal only Tierra team only
Public Anyone with the link can view
Client shared Client contacts get commenter access at folder level

Folders shared directly with the client (commenter access for all client Slack contacts):
