Create New Client Drive Folder
When a client signs, set up their Drive folder using these steps. Most of the time, the folder already exists in Active Proposals — you're just relocating it and adding template docs.
Step 1 — Check Active Proposals first
Usually you don't need to create a new folder
When a client signs, they should already have a folder in Active Proposals.
- If a folder exists: Move it to Tierra Clients.
- If no folder exists: Create a new one in Tierra Clients and work with the BizDev team to ensure all proposals, contracts, and audit documents get added.
Step 2 — Confirm the folder name
Use the client's full brand name:
| ✅ Do | ❌ Don't |
|---|---|
| "Evexia Science" | "Evexia" |
| "BroadBase Media" | "BBM" |
Exception: shortened brand names
A shortened name is OK only if it's treated as the full brand name (on their website, etc.):
- ✅ "Gibbons Handmade" — not "Patrick Gibbons Handmade"
Step 3 — Copy template documents
Go to Client Onboarding Templates and copy the templates that apply to this client.
Copies land in your root Drive, not the client folder
Copied files paste to your My Drive root, not the folder you were viewing. Go to "My Drive" on the left, sort by name, and you'll see all the files prefixed with "Copy of".

Step 4 — Move & rename
- Move the copied documents into the client folder
- In each filename, replace
[CLIENT]with the client's full name (match the folder name) - Remove the "Copy of" prefix from each
Step 5 — Create subfolders
Follow Client Folder Organization to create the standard subfolders and move each copied document into its right home.
Step 6 — Add anything else relevant
- Internal documents
- Client-shared assets
- Metric sheets
- Anything else specific to this client's contract
