MarkUp 101
MarkUp is a visual commenting platform that lets the team give easy feedback on digital assets — especially for CRO audits on live websites and landing page design/copy updates. It can also be used for commenting on image and video files, though historically Tierra hasn't used it that way.
Login credentials
All Tierra team members have access to MarkUp through the shared login in Bitwarden.
Use username/password, not Google login
It's recommended to log in with username/password rather than the Google login option.
Folder organization
Folders in MarkUp keep individual markups organized. Follow this structure:
Top-level folders
- All active client folders sit at the top level
- If a client has multiple projects, create a subfolder for each project
- Plus these top-level system folders:
| Folder | Purpose |
|---|---|
| [INACTIVE CLIENTS] | Once a client project is completed, move their folder here to avoid clutter |
| [AUDITS] | All CRO audits for potential new clients |
| [OLD LANDERS] | Legacy folder — can be ignored |
| [FUNNEL OF THE WEEK] | Top performing funnels from Funnel of the Week — everyone on the team should also sign up for their newsletter |
| [Adam's Folder] | A place for Adam Pivko to mess around — can be ignored |
Naming conventions
Client folders
Format: [CLIENT]
Subfolders are just the project name (no special formatting).
Example structure:
Individual markups
The naming convention depends on the use case:
Website Audit MarkUps
Format: CLIENT CRO Audit
Examples:
Music Box CRO AuditPhotoStick CRO Audit
Landing Page Design / Copy MarkUps
Format: CLIENT - PROJECT - ROUND - VERSION
- PROJECT may be dropped if the client name and product name are the same
- VERSION is only used when there are multiple versions for the client to compare
Examples:
Saddle Rock - Roundup - Design Round 1 - V2Mood - Flower - CopyElla Bella - Design Round 3
